My Resume

About Me

My Experience

  • I am a transportation engineering graduate student at the University of Utah with an expected December 2025 graduation date. My research focuses on optimizing battery-electric bus deployment to improve environmental equity while balancing budget constraints.
  • In 2023, I earned a B.S. in Mathematics from Brigham Young University through the ACME program, an intensive track combining applied mathematics, statistical modeling, and computer science.
  • In addition to my research, I work as an engineering intern with the Utah Department of Transportation’s Transit Division, where I develop spatial tools and dashboards to support transit access and equity planning.

My Skillset

  • Programming & Data Science:
Proficient in Python, R, and SQL for data analysis, modeling, and automation. Experienced with Python libraries including Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.

  • Geospatial & Transportation Modeling:
Skilled in ArcGIS Pro, ArcPy, GeoPandas, and GTFS-based network modeling. Experience with transportation analysis tools such as PTV Vissim and TransCAD for simulating multimodal networks and assessing transit accessibility.

  • Data Management & Visualization:
Experienced in data wrangling, dashboard development, and visual storytelling using Python (Matplotlib, Seaborn), R (ggplot2), and SQL-based platforms. Familiar with Tableau for interactive visualizations.

  • Applied Mathematics & Optimization:
Strong foundation in applied and computational mathematics, with experience designing algorithms, solving optimization problems, and applying statistical and machine learning models to real-world data.

  • Technical Communication:
Skilled at distilling complex analytical findings into clear, accessible insights for technical and non-technical audiences.

My Goals

I aim to use my mathematics, programming, and engineering skills to improve how people live, work, and move through their communities. By studying transportation engineering, I hope to make a meaningful contribution to city design and public transit systems, creating more connected, sustainable, and equitable urban environments
